The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's Zonal office in Port Harcourt, EFCC, arrested nine suspected internet fraudsters on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
The names of the suspects as Sotonye Orugbane; David Egbunugwu; Emmanuel Chinemerem, Providence Oliver Samuel, and Emmanuel Fidelis Nwambu were given in a statement released by the
antigraft agency. Nkwachi Promise, Micah Nimi, Precious Ogadinma, and Ebi Micah were also arrested for the same crime. Things managed to be retrieved from the suspects are 16 different brand mobile phones, 1 HP laptop, 2 Apple watches, and 2 Vehicles (Lexus ES 350 and one Toyota Camry 2.4).In addition, the press release also states that the suspects will all be charged to court as soon as the investigation is completed.
