[ENTERTAINMENT] Why Kunle Afolayan says Nollywood misrepresents Traditional Religions

Eminent movie producer, Kunle Afolayan has expressed that Nollywood has horribly distorted African conventional religions.

The producer made this case in a meeting on SKY 452's "For the Record" with UK-based Nigerian, DJ Abass.

"There's a great deal of deception through our movies," Kunle Afolayan clarified in the
meeting.

The "October 1" maker included that the vast majority of the conventional qualities in Nigerian movies have been confounded.

"A portion of the serenades and its utilization are frequently abused. When you see an appropriate babalawo, they state 'gracious please, you don't do this'. The manner in which the hallowed places is introduced; the way the babalawos are exhibited is distorted."

Afolayan said the view of conventionalists by most Nigerians has been affected by what they watch from the films.

Be that as it may, the producer said he is enthusiastic about getting a large portion of the fundamentals of the vast majority of the religions are introduced and he endeavored to "comprehend the distinctive religion so I can strike an equalization."

Kunle Afolayan noticed that conventional religions were not by any means the only distorted religions.

"A similar way you have distortion in Christianity, you have in Islam and that is the equivalent in customary religion."
