[NEWS] Kidnapped Oyo cleric twins freed after eight days

The abducted twins of an Islamic cleric in Oyo State, Taofeeq Akeugbagold, have been freed. During the administration of former governor Abiola Ajimobi, Akeugbagold, who was the
chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Muslim wing, declared their release on Sunday morning in a Facebook post. After eight days in their abductor's net, he said his twins were released to him by a bush hand.

However, he neglected to note whether or not a ransom was paid to gain their freedom.
The cleric explained that his twins were born after his he had a 12 years child-delay with his wife. The victims, Taiwo and Kehinde, were said to have been abducted on Saturday, April 25, around 8 pm, while their father was in a studio for a recording of Ramadan.

The state's Police Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi, had confirmed the incident, adding it was continuing investigation. But on Sunday morning, Akeugbagold broke a piece of heart-warming news through his Facebook wall.
