[NEWS] Ganduje gets Buhari’s approval, relaxes lockdown
Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje says he has the President Major General Muhammadu Buhari's nod to lift the state's 14-day lockdown. It has been announced that, during his address to the
nation on Monday, Buhari declared the lockdown on the state as part of initiatives to curtail that coronavirus outbreaks confirmed in the state.
Afterward, Ganduje welcomed the decision but appealed with the President to relax the lockdown. In a statement released on Saturday evening by its Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, the governor said he had the President's permission to loosen the lockout on Mondays and Thursdays.
Because of that, I am hereby releasing a statement that citizens are allowed to come out and make some purchases every Monday in the lockdown time from 10 am to 4 pm. So, citizens are permitted to go out within this specified period even on Thursdays between 10 am and 4 pm, "Ganduje was quoted in the article.
