MAJOR THROWBACK THURSDAY SONGS.

Okay music lovers, since today is Thursday let’s make a throwback to our favorites old tunes from our lovely and talented Nigerian artists. These songs made waves those years and we at AFRICAMUSICPLUG have taken it as our primary activities to give you cool and fun throwback of these dope songs. ENJOY!!

1) YAHOOZEE by Mr. Olu Maintain. Everybody loved this track as it comes with a full package and a dance style to move with.

2) IJOYA by Weird MC. One of the best female Mc we’ve got in Nigeria. This song made waves across the continent at the time of reign. Kudos ma’am.

3) FALL IN LOVE by D’banj.

Mehn, this song right here is one of the best love songs the Kokomaster has given us over the years with vocals from then Mohit label boss Don Jazzy and his label mate Wande Coal. We couldn’t have asked for more.

4) MR LECTURER by Eedris Abdulkareem.

The unforgettable Mr. Eedris Abdulkareem gave us this song which the video was actually funny but had a serious message embedded in it. Song preached about sexual harassment in universities which unfortunately is still happening in Unis today.

5) IF LOVE IS A CRIME by 2face Idibia.

You can’t have a throwback song compilation without the addition of 2face Idibia all-time hit. This song was the lovers' jam those years and it’s still relevant today as it has made a stand amongst other love songs.

6) FREE MADNESS by Terry G

Our throwback compilation isn’t complete without a little pinch of small madness and that’s why this song from Nigeria King of Madness Terry G is included. Song came with a dance token to ginger our swagger back then. No one missed it though.

7) MO SO RIRE by Paul Play Dairo.

The son of our own legendary IK Dairo blessed is with the success song that always gives hope to every Nigerians. This was one of the best contemporary Highlife songs we’ve got in this country and we are blessed to have this. Thank You, Sir.

8) DANCE FOR ME by Wizkid

This man right here has been on top of his game since the beginning of his music career and has been blessing us with hits upon hits since we knew him in the music industry.

9). BIG BOY by Eldee

Ever thought of music that showcases confidence, wealth, and also makes men drip with swagger? Yeah, this song right here was the one back then. Song for the big boys in town.

10) GONGO ASO by 9ice

This was one of the best pop songs in those years. Alapomeji blessed us with a trilling Yoruba filled song with conceptualized meaning with a sound/beat from the legendary ID Cabasa to complete the vibe.
